About Settrax
We built the system
we wished existed.
Settrax started in an OR supply room in 2019. It grew because surgical teams at hundreds of facilities said the same thing: instrument tracking shouldn't require a six-month implementation and a dedicated IT team.

OUR MISSION
Every instrument.
Every case.
Every facility.
Surgical instrument tracking has been enterprise-only for too long. Large hospital networks could afford the implementation costs and the dedicated staff. Everyone else made do with paper, whiteboards, and memory.
We exist to close that gap. Settrax brings full-featured, RFID-powered instrument tracking to any surgical facility — community hospital, ambulatory surgery center, or specialty clinic — with no consultants, no IT projects, and no hidden fees.
THE STORY
From an SPD in Oregon
to hospitals and ASCs Nationwide
2010
MAJOR ISSUES
Our founder recognized the broken state of the vendor and hospital relationship from lack of accountability and transparency to outright fraud.
2011
Settrax 1.0
It was a novel idea to require vendors to properly document their instrument trays and be compliant to existing standards.
2012
Torches and Pitchforks
The vendor driven nature of the Settrax process wasn't popular with everyone at first but hospitals and eventually vendors realized the major benefits.
2024
Time for Something New
After 12 years of solving the vendor management process Settrax started to build the next evolution in Instrument Tracking.
2026
Settrax Flow Launches
After two years of intense design and testing Settrax launches a new kind of instrument tracking system focused on people not just numbers.
Built for the OR, not the boardroom.
Every workflow we design is tested with scrub techs, sterile processing staff, and OR nurses — not in a conference room. If it slows down clinical staff, we redesign it.
Pricing Transparency
No hidden modules. No per-seat pricing traps. No 90-day implementation timelines designed to lock you in. Our pricing page is public. Our contracts are month-to-month.
Speed is a patient safety issue.
A missing instrument discovered mid-case is a critical event. We treat latency, reliability, and uptime as clinical requirements, not infrastructure metrics.
Small teams. Deep ownership.
We keep the company small on purpose. Every engineer owns a clinical domain end-to-end. When something breaks at 2 AM before a 7 AM case, the person on call built that feature.
THE TEAM
Clinical people.
Technical depth.
